Jonathan Singerton

Dr Jonathan Singerton is a Lecturer and Research Fellow at the University of Innsbruck where his teaching and research focus on the global pasts of the Habsburg Monarchy during the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. He previously completed a PhD in history at the University of Edinburgh in 2018 and was a Research Fellow at the Austrian Academy of Sciences in Vienna. His first book The American Revolution and the Habsburg Monarchy appeared in 2021. He is currently completing a biography of the intrepid nomad Maria von Born whose life crossed cultural and geographical boundaries in Europe and North American during the Age of Revolutions. His research interests focus on themes of exchange and mobility throughout central European history.
