Street named after Karen Blixen (Nantes, France)

    Karen Blixen (b. Rungsted, Denmark, 1885 – d. 1962, Rungsted, Denmark) was a Danish author who lived in Kenya from 1914 to 1931 and is best known for her memoir “Out of Africa,” which describes her experiences as a European colonist in Kenya (then British East Africa). After her coffee plantation near Nairobi failed, she returned to her childhood home of Rungstedlund in Denmark and began a highly successful writing career.
