Hotel named after Queen Victoria

    Queen Victoria Eugenie (b. Balmoral Castle, Scotland, 1906 – d. 1931, Lausanne, Switzerland), born Princess Victoria Eugenie Julia Ena of Battenberg, was the Queen of Spain as the wife of King Alfonso XIII from their marriage in 1906 until 1931, when the Spanish Second Republic was proclaimed. Then, the Spanish royal family went into exile, first in France and later in Italy. Victoria Eugenie and Alfonso separated, and she then lived partly in the UK and partly in Switzerland.
