Elsa Triolet, born Ella Yourievna Kagan (b. Moscow, Russia, 1896 – d. 1970, Saint-Arnoult-en-Yvelines, France), was a French woman of letters and a resistance fighter of Russian origin. She was born to Jewish parents. The first woman to win the Goncourt Prize, she is also known by the pseudonym Laurent Daniel. She is the sister of Lili Brik and the companion of Louis Aragon.
