Vela Nigrinova (b. Ljubljana, Slovenia, 1862 – d. 1908, Belgrade, Serbia) was a famous actress born in Ljubljana (Slovenia, then Austria). She was of Czech-German origin. Nirginova made her debut on the stage of the Slovenian Dramatic Society in 1876. In 1882, she moved to Belgrade and became one of the leading actresses of the national theater. She also performed in Novi Sad, Zagreb, Sofia, and Ljubljana. She died in Belgrade.
