Temporary Installation for Elisabeth Jerichau Baumann

    Elisabeth Jerichau Baumann (b. Warsaw, Poland, 1819 – d. 1881, Copenhagen, Denmark) was an artist and portrait painter. Born in Poland, she moved to Denmark with her husband in 1845, painting national figures such as members of the royal family, Johanne Luise Heiberg, and H.C. Andersen. She also became a key figure in the flourishing salon life in Copenhagen and Rome.
