The collection contains transcriptions of 83 letters that Alice-Mary Maffry (Talbot) wrote to her parents from Greece, while attending the Summer Program (1959) and the Regular Program of the American School of Classical Studies at Athens (1960-1961); and transcribed excerpts from her journal covering the period February-August 1961, titled « Excursions to Monemvasia, Meteora, Mani and Melos” (February-August 1961), and “Village Life in Ancient Corinth” (Spring-Summer 1961).
