Catalogue of the 19th-20th Centuries Documents Regarding the Germans Living in Georgia and Transcaucasia

This database contains information on the documents relating to German women and men in Georgia and Transcaucasia preserved at the branches of National Archives of Georgia (regional and local archives). The first German settlements in Georgia were founded in the early nineteenth century. Primary sources on women migrants at the National Archives include the household books filled by the executive committees of German village councils every three years (later every five years). Household books document the composition of each household, the date of birth of each member and household property. Additionally, the collection contains a photo catalogue and correspondence.
