Bénédicte Miyamoto is Associate Professor in British History and Art History at Université Sorbonne Nouvelle in Paris. Her research focuses on the artistic culture and trade of Britain, the migration of artists, and the circulation of knowledge, 1600-1800. She was 2019 Fellow of the Society of the Cincinnati Library and 2020 Short-term Fellow at the Folger Shakespeare Library. She has received a 2020 Lewis Walpole Travel Grant and will be Resident Scholar at the Dibner Smithsonian Library (Covid-postponed).

She has published in Moving Pictures: Intra-European Trade in Images, 16th-18th Centuries, edited by De Marchi and Raux, (Brepols, 2014)  and Art Crossing Borders: The International Art Market in the Age of Nation States, 1760-1914, edited by Baetens and Lyna, (Brill, 2019). She has co-edited with Louisiane Ferlier Forms, Formats and the Circulation of Knowledge (Brill, 2020); and with Marie Ruiz Art and migration: Revisioning the borders of community, (Manchester University Press, 2021).
