Heillyn (aged 46) migrated from Costa Rica to Denmark in 2016
In 2007, Heillyn was given the opportunity to complete a PhD in Denmark through a collaboration project between the University in Costa Rica and Holbæk University. Today Ehikllyn is an entrepreneur and a university lecturer.
During her interview, Heillyin evoked two main challenges in her migration path. The first one, as a Spanish-speaking person, she had to learn both academic English for her job and Danish in her everyday life. The second was the cultural differences between the Scandinavian and Latin American cultures.
