Olena (aged 41) left Odesa, Ukraine to Armenia in 2011
An economist, she married an Armenian and lived in both countries, Armenia and Ukraine, for years. But later, due to the pandemic and Russia’s war against Ukraine, she settled only in Yerevan. Olena is the president of NGO « Ukrainians in Armenia » and NGO « Ukrainian Forum ».
During her interview, she declares that “Migration has hardly changed me, because I have managed to remain myself here. For the first 10 years, I felt like I was on some wonderful tourist trip. Now I know that I am settled here, but I live and act for Ukraine”.
