Avenue named after Queen Alexandra (Athens, Greece)

    Princess Alexandra of Greece and Denmark (b. Corfu, Greece,1870 – d. 1891, Moscow, Russia) later known as Grand Duchess Alexandra Georgievna of Russia was a member of the Greek royal family and of the Russian imperial family. Born at Mon Repos, the summer residence of the Greek royal family on the island of Corfu. When she was eighteen years old, she was married to Grand Duke Paul Alexandrovich of Russia and moved to St Petersburg, Russia. She died at 21 years of childbirth complications.
