Maria de Lima Mayer Ulrich (b. Coimbra, Portugal, 1908 – d. 1988, Lisbon, Portugal) emigrated from Portugal to France and London, where she studied the school systems of Montessori and Mouvements Chrétiens style. She then went back to Lisbon to found her own school.
