Margaret Neill Fraser fountain (Mladenovac, Serbia)

    Margaret Neill Fraser ( (b. Edinburgh, UK, 1880 – d. 1915, Kragujevac, Serbia), was a Scottish First World War nurse and amateur golfer. During WWI she was a member of the St. Andrews Ambulance Association and volunteered alongside suffragette doctor Elsie Inglis. She helped create the Scottish Women’s Hospital in Serbia under the overall umbrella of the French Red Cross. She died together with 21 other Scottish medical workers in the typhus epidemic in Serbia. She is buried in the Nis Commonwealth Military Cemetery, eastern Serbia.
