Promenade named after Lady Montagu (Lovere, Italy)

    Lady Mary Wortley Montagu (b. Nottinghamshire, England, 1689 – d.1762, London, England) was an English aristocrat, writer, and poet. Montagu went to live in various places of France and Italy. Her experience of the Ottoman Empire was written in her Turkish Letters and is considered a highly valuable source of information on women in the Empire during the 18th century.
