Psychiatric hospital of CHGR Janet Paterson Frame (Rennes, France)

    Janet Paterson Frame ONZ CBE (b. Dunedin, New Zealand, 1924 – d. 2004, Dunedin, New Zealand) was a New Zealand writer and novelist. She was internationally renowned for her work, which included novels, short stories, poetry, juvenile fiction, and an autobiography, and received numerous awards including being appointed to the Order of New Zealand, New Zealand’s highest civil honour. Wrongly diagnosed with schizophrenia, she spent 10 years in an asylum but kept writing. She then moved to England where she was declared as “not ill”.
