Statue of Anna Pavlova (London, UK)

    Anna Pavlovna Pavlova (b. St. Petersburg, Russian Empire, 1881 – d. 1931, Hague, Netherlands) was a Russian ballerina, who became the first ballerina to tour around the world, including performances in South America, India and Australia. She performed in Paris with the Ballets Russes. After leaving Russia, she settled in England in 1912 and became influential in the development of British ballet. She gave many charity dance performances to support Russian orphans in post-World War I Paris. Gilded statue atop of the Victoria Palace Theatre.
