Gottfred Eickhoff’s bronze sculpture « Roepiger » was erected in 1940. The unnamed « beet girls » can be seen as a monument to the agricultural workers from Poland and elsewhere who worked in the beet fields in Denmark from 1892 to 1929, most of whom were women.
