Street named after Maria Brignole (Paris, France)

    Maria Brignole Sale De Ferrari (b. Genoa, Italy, 1811 – d. 1888, Paris, France). Wife of Marquis Raffaele De Ferrari from 1828 to 1876 and as Duchess of Galliera and Princess of Lucedio, was a great philanthropist. When her husband was exiled, she migrated to France where they spent most of their married life. She enabled the foundation of the first museum in her birthplace of Genoa, the Palazzo Rosso and Palazzo Bianco as well as the Galliera Hospital and the San Filippo children’s hospital.
