Maria Anna Marzia Alboni (b. Città di Castello, Italy 1826 – d. 1894, Ville- d’Avray, France), called Marietta Alboni, was an Italian opera singer. She is considered to be one of the greatest contraltos in the history of opera and performed on many European opera stages. She married a French military officer and died in France.
