Mileva Marić Einstein (b.Titel, Serbia, 1875 – d. 1948, Zurich, Switzerland), was a Serbian physicist and mathematician. She was born in Serbia and after finishing high school she went to Zurich to study medicine. Soon she transferred to Zurich Polytechnic where she graduated in 1899. She soon befriended Albert Einstein, her classmate. They married in 1903 and had two sons. After the separation, she moved from Berlin back to Zurich where she died in 1948.
