Cultural and Art Center named after Golda Meir (Tel Aviv-Yafo, Israel)

    Golda Meir (b. Golda Mabovitch; Kiev, Russian Empire, 1898 –d.1978, Jerusalem, Israel) was politician and the fourth Prime Minister of Israel. Born in Kiev, she emigrated to the United States as a child with her family in 1906, and was educated there, becoming a teacher. She moved to Palestine in 1921, together with her husband, sister Sheyna and her daughter, and her childhood friend Regina, after which she moved to Israel.
