Marija Jurić Zagorka (b. Vrbovec, Croatia, 1873 – d. 1957, Zagreb, Croatia) was one of the first journalists of South Eastern Europe. She married a Hungarian and moved to Szombathely in the Kingdom of Hungary. After the breakdown of the marriage, she returned to Zagreb but continueed to cover Hungarian political subjects, notably the parliamentary sessions of the 1903 Budapest Croatian-Hungarian parliamentary sessions.
