Park named after Pauline Chaponnière

    Pauline Chapponière-Chaix (b. Geneva, Switzerland, 1850 – d. 1934, Geneva, Switzerland) was for more than one decade active as a deaconess in France. During this time, she cared for children in an asylum, she worked in a women’s prison and run a Protestant girls’ home. Back in Switzerland she was actively involved in the Geneva Union des femmes and was active Swiss and international women’s movement.
