Public high school named after Nelly Sachs

    Nelly Sachs (b.Berlin-Schöneberg, German Empire, 1891 – d. 1970 Stockholm, Sweden) was a German- Swedish poet and playwright. She won the Nobel prize in literature for her lyrical and dramatic writing. She fled from Germany in 1940 to avoid being sent to a concentration camp and settled in Stockholm.
