Square named after Greta Garbo

    Greta Garbo (b. Stockholm, Sweden, 1905 – d. 1990, New York City, USA) was a famous Swedish actress known for her beauty, skill, and mysterious persona. Garbo was born in Sweden but was discovered by a Finnish movie director, Mauritz Schiller. Garbo and Schiller traveled together to the USA, and Garbo managed to get a contract with MGM studios. She became one of the most intriguing stars of Hollywood. Garbo was suspicious and mistrustful of the media and appeared rarely in the any public events.
