Sculpture by Ramón Muriedas located in a public space in the city of Gijón, on the Paseo del Rinconín. The migrants mother faces the sea and raises her hand. Muriedas has tried to capture her suffering and that of many mothers who saw their sons emigrate in search of a better life.
