Street named after Beatrix de Gavre

    Béatrix de Gâvre (b. Gavere, Belgium, 1280 – d.1315, Maine, France ). Originally from Flanders, Béatrix de Gavere, Countess of Falkemberg, was the only daughter of Rasse VIII de Gavre, Lord of Gavre, Orcheghem, and Morhem in Flanders. She married Guy IX of Laval in 1297. Tradition indicates that in 1299, she brought weavers who introduced or perfected the weaving of linen fabrics in the county of Laval, France.
