Concepción Méndez Cuesta (b. Madrid, Spain, 1898 – d. 1986, Mexico City, Mexico) was a Spanish writer, poet, playwright, and scriptwriter, contemporary to the Generation of ’27 and part of the « Las Sinsombrero » group. Due to political reasons, she went into exile in England, Belgium, France, Cuba, and Mexico. Concha Médez Cuesta never returned to Spain, although she made three specific trips to Madrid after 1966. She continued to reside in Mexico until her passing in 1986.
