Street named after Eileen Gray

    Eileen Gray (b. Ennyscorthy, Ireland, 1878 – d. 1976, Paris, France) was an Irish architect and furniture designer who became a pioneer of the Modern Movement in architecture in France. She attended school in Germany and England. In London, she studied lacquering, which she continued studying in Paris. She built and decorated a home near Monaco with her partner, much of which was destroyed during World War II.
