Hélène Vacaresco (b. Bucharest, Romania, 1864 – d. 1947, Paris, France) was a Romanian- French writer. After an affair with the heir to the Romanian throne, she was exiled to Paris for the rest of her life. She served as the only woman to hold the rank of ambassador in the League of Nations. She also became a part of the Romanian Academy to translate works of Romanian poets into French.
