Among other documentation, this archival unit contains information on emigrants in Berlin from 1955-1990. One can find information on political emigrants from Chile, Bolivia and USSR and their integration into the German society, reports on the life of emigrants in the GDR, a housing list of 1985 and statistics on emigrants from Chile, Bolivia and Uruguay in 1981-1990, as well as on repatriation of Chilean emigrants to their homeland. There are also documents on social support for Arab political emigrants with permanent residence in the GDR (Iran, Iraq, Turkey, stateless), return of emigrants from the Soviet Union and the repatriation of Germans evacuated from Poland during the war, relocated to Poland. These include women migrants.
