Directorate of Population and Migration, Immigration Department: management of current immigration (1926-1972)

This collection, which comes from a department of the Directorate of Population and Migration, is a ministerial payment. Articles 112 to 140 concern current immigration through applications for the introduction of foreign labour by department, derogations and interventions for residence and work permits, temporary authorisations for shows, employment contracts for artists and technicians, and coal-mines between 1946 and 1961. Articles 123 to 130 relate more specifically to regularisations of residence decided by the work director (individual applications) between 1950 and 1954. The files are gender-disaggregated, but some contain information on women migrants.
