Elvira Popescu Papers: letters and manuscripts

    The BNF Opera Museum holds letters and manuscript papers of Elvira Popescu relating to her operatic career and mapping her social network amongst artists in the French Capital City. Elvira Popescu (10 May 1894 – 11 December 1993) was a Romanian-French stage and film actress and theatre director. Born in Bucharest, Romania, and died in Paris, France, during the 1930s and 1940s, she starred in numerous French comedy films.
