Outstanding women of Ukraine: On the 165th anniversary of Sofia Rusova’s birth

    This collection contains scans of documents of Sofia Rusova (née Lindfors), (b. 1856, Oleshnya, Gorodnyansky district, Chernihiv province, Russian Empire (Ukraine) – d. 1940, Prague, Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia), a Ukrainian pedagogue, author, women’s rights advocate, and political activist. After 1922 she migrated, and from 1923 she was professor of pedagogy at the Mykhailo Drahomanov Ukrainian Pedagogical Institute in Prague. She was the founder of the National Council of Ukrainian Women in Prague.
