Papo Laura Bohoreta, Sarajevo

    Laura Papo Bohoreta (1891-1942) was a first Bosnian feminist and a writer. When she was a child when her family moved to Istanbul, Turkey, where they spent 8 years. After that they returned to Sarajevo. Because of their Jewish background, her family was persecuted by the Ustashas during WWII, and both her sons were killed in Jasenovac concentration camp. She died of sorrow and illness in 1942. This collection consists of original writings of her works.
