    Petition of Catherine Davis, [Cove, County Cork], to Richard Wellesley, 1st Marquis Wellesley, Lord Lieutenant, Dublin Castle, requesting a free passage on a convict ship about departing for New South Wales, Australia, for herself, her daughter and her daughter’s husband. Revels she left her husband, William Davis, who is ‘a free settler’ in the town of Sydney [New South Wales] and came to Ireland in search of her daughter [from an earlier union]. Explains upon discovering her daughter she made arrangements for her marriage to Joseph Davis, a nephew of her present husband. Remarks the couple are entitled to inherit her ‘considerable property’ in Australia. 1 item; 3pp
