The file contains twenty-one autograph manuscripts and nine typewritten leaves, donated by the author, Jódís Sigurdson (also spelled Sigurðsson and Sigurðson). Although Jódís ís a virtually unknown figure in the history of Icelandic-Canadian immigrant literature, newspaper reports indicate that she was active in Winnipeg as an amateur playwright and supported herself as a teacher for Icelandic immigrant children.
