Saul and Gladys Weinberg Papers

    The file contains the papers of Gladys and Saul Weinberg, 1930-1980, consisting in correspondence, notes, and photographs. They provide information about their archaeological work in Greece, especially in Corinth and Elateia. The photographs taken either by Gladys or Saul, mostly in the 1930s, document a large number of Greek archaeological sites, as well as activities of friends and local people.Gladys Davidson Weinberg (1909-2002), an American archaeologist, lived many years in Greece where she was a Fellow of the American School of Classical Studies in Athens (1932-33, 1935-38) and librarian (1946-1948).
