The collection contains official correspondence, documents, photographs, and paper clips of the Women Walk Home Movement, a non-governmental women’s organization founded in Cyprus in 1975. Its main objective was advocating for the return of Cypriot refugees, particularly after the 1974 Turkish Invasion, to their homes and the reunification of the country. The organization organized five marches, with the first one in 1975 drawing 35,000 women from around the world in support of the cause.
