The collection comprises materials of Slovenian emigrants in the United States of America, including those from the Slovenian American National Council (SANS), the Association of Southern Slavs in America (1942-1948), and the Slovenian Singing Society « Zarja » from Cleveland (1916-1966). It also contains photographs of emigrants from the USA (1917-1954), documentation on Slovenian national and workers’ homes and reading rooms in the USA (1919-1970), as well as materials on emigrants and emigrant associations in various countries such as France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Austria, Liechtenstein, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Denmark, Norway, Luxembourg, Turkey, Italy, Sweden, Croatia, Germany, Australia, Uruguay, Paraguay, Brazil, Chile, Mexico, Venezuela, Peru, Ecuador, Bolivia, New Zealand, Colombia, and Argentina. Additionally, it includes records of assistance provided to refugees (1991-1994) and activities of emigrants in the United States of America, along with related documentation such as activity reports, visits to the homeland, brochures, photographs, and correspondence with the Slovenian Emigrant Association. The collection also encompasses materials concerning emigrant women from Slovenia in these countries. Emigrant photographs are also part of the collection.
