    A half-hour presentation entitled « Studying and Popularization of Memory about Women Migration: COST Action “Women on the Move” » was given by Igor Lyman during the first panel of the 9th International Multidisciplinary Symposium of Memory Studies (SIMEM), which was held on 11-12 November 2021 in Puebla (Mexico). This year’s SIMEM theme is « Pensar el pasado para imaginar el futuro » (« Think the Past to Imagine the Future »). 

    Igor talked about the conception, objectives, tasks and main activities of  WEMov, focusing on aspects related to the memory about female migration.  

    WG4 member Igor Lyman is a professor of Berdyansk State Pedagogical University (Ukraine). He is a co-organizer of the 9th SIMEM.

    Last month, Francesca Falk published an article in her university’s (Universität Bern) journal Unipress on her work with COST Action Women on the Move. The article is entitled « Migration führte zu Emanzipation » and can be read here.
