    Presenting WEMov at multidisciplinary conferences 

    WG2 co-leader Pirita Frigren (University Consortium of Pori, Finland) presented the network at two online conferences in December 2021 and in January 2022. On 14-15 December 2021, Satakunta University of Applied Sciences organised an International Summit on Virtual Learning and Cooperation. The event gathered university teaching personnel from different European countries. Pirita Frigren presented the joint online co-teaching experiment that she and Chair Marie Ruiz conducted together with Finnish and French students in the Fall semester of 2021. On 26 January, Pirita Frigren participated in the multidisciplinary research day, organised by the University Consortium of Pori, Finland. In this event, her presentation was titled ‘How to study the collective memory of migrant women?’ (in Finnish), and it showcased WG2’s activities on Women Migrants’ Landmarks. 

    WEMov members interviewed

    WEMov’s Grant awarding coordinator, Graham Finlay, was interviewed on 7 February 2022 on the Ottawa protest. Check the podcast on RTE Radio 1. 

    Chair Marie Ruiz was interviewed for COST’s mini-series ‘Women in Science’ for International Day of Women and Girls in Science 2022. She is one of the 7 women scientist Chairs selected by COST to represent women in science. Read the interview here.
