Description: The Department of Labour and Emigration issued visas for citizens to various countries and dealt with all matters concerning employment. Visa applications were for Australia, Canada, USA, Italy, the UK and various other destinations. A large number of records contain employers’ and employees’ dossiers, applications of employers to employ new staff, and so on.
