    Description: This fonds contains a letter from Marietta Alboni to Théodore Jean-Baptiste Weckerlin (1821–1910), a French composer and music publisher, dated 17 February (no year indicated). Marietta Alboni (1826–1894) was born in Italy and died in France. Her stage career began in Bologna in 1842. She married her first husband, Count Carlo Pepoli, in 1853, but she continued to perform on the stage until 1872. She and Weckerlin exchanged letters for at least a decade (1880-1890).
