    Collection title: Brieven van Belle van Zuylen | Correspondance of Isabelle de Charrière (France, Switzerland: 18thc.)

    Description: This collection contains letters by Isabella Agneta Elisabeth van Tuyll van Serooskerken, or Isabelle de Charrière (20 October 1740 – 27 December 1805), known in the Netherlands as Belle van Zuylen. She was born near Utrecht (NL) but lived the latter half of her life in Switzerland, in Colombier, Neuchâtel. She was a Dutch and Swiss writer of novels, pamphlets, poems and plays. She also composed music.
