    Collection title: Dagbækur Ingibjargar Hóseasdóttur | Diaries of Ingibjörg Hóseasdóttir (Canada: 1913–1953)

    Description: Diaries of Ingibjörg Hóseasdóttir (23 November 1867–25 February 1958), who emigrated to Canada in 1903 as a single working-class woman. She initially settled in an Icelandic immigrant community in Argyle, Manitoba, but moved with her parents to Mozart, Saskatchewan, where she remained until her death. Her diaries span from 1913 until 1953 and document her life and experiences as an independent female migrant who supported herself and her family members through her work as a seamstress and carer.
