Aiga Bērziņa-Kite is head researcher at the National Archives of Latvia and Research assistant at the Institute of Latvian History at the University of Latvia. She is doing her research for a PhD dissertation at University of Latvia on a subject of Latvian penitentiary during Latvian War of Independence. She has more than 15 scientific publications in Latvia and abroad on social and political aspects of Interwar Latvia, focusing mostly on Latvian Penal Policy and Crime during Latvian War of Independence. She regularly presents research findings on different local and international scientific conferences.
