Olugbenga Falase
Olugbenga Samuel Falase got his PhD from the Department of Sociology, University of Ibadan, Nigeria in 2018. He was a recipient of the Next Generation Social Sciences in Africa Fellowship Program by the Social Science Research Council (SSRC) in 2014, 2016, 2017 and 2020. He also received the Lift Above Poverty Organization (LAPO) Doctoral Research Support Grant in 2015. His doctoral research titled ‘The Politics of Forest Governance in South-Western Nigeria’ explored the subtle and the everyday “taken-for-granted” nuances embedded in the system of forest governance due to unequal power relations between forest actors, and its implications on forest development. His interests lie in Development studies, Rural sociology and ‘Sociology of Forest’. He is a lecturer and researcher at the Department of Sociology, Lead City University, Ibadan, Nigeria.
