Memory and identity
WG2 addresses the question of memory and how European female migration is perceived and represented today. It investigates the remnants from past European women’s migration through the prism of memory writing and artistic representations. In order to better inform the public, WG2 shows the presence of female migrants in the construction of Europe with a register of landmarks commemorating migrant female workers on an interactive map. It also organizes exhibitions and sets up touristic walking tours of places of interest in women’s migration.
